I was selected for the Cal Poly 2017 Phoenix Challenge Team where we were assigned to work with a local small business to redesign their packaging using our knowledge of print, packaging, and design. Wilder Floral Company is a small flower shop in San Luis Obispo, California that needed a new, innovative way to carry and transport their wedding flowers.
Over the duration of 9 months, my team and I worked together and with our client to develop packaging for bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, and bridesmaids bouquets for Wilder, as well as printed stickers and a customizable hanging tag. We performed all design, prepress, production, and post-production processes throughout the project including hand drawing, color management, press runs, cost estimations, photography, dieline creation, automated cutting, and hand assembly. We then presented our designs at the 2017 Flexographic Technical Association Phoenix Challenge competition in April.
